Goldie doesn't really talk yet

Goldie is only 15 months so she only says apple, up, open, this, George, Dada and Mama. George, on the other hand, is three and has tons of words.

The following quote is from his school newsletter.

What an exciting week! We went to Kelsey Creek Farm and finished learning about the farm animals. The kids seemed to have a great time on the farm. Here’s what they said about it:
George: My favorite part was the duck because they are fun. One fell down on his head. One was eating ice cream cone. He threw it on the ground, then put it on a flower and fell under the water.

I believe that he believes this happened.

Coffee can burn you and also break your phone

My cell phone slid into Clay's coffee cup, which didn't have a lid on it, while we were driving home from Camano Island last weekend. It is, as you can imagine, no longer working.
I wish I could blame this on my children or at least Clay for not using a lid but it is my fault. Bummer.
I no longer have any numbers so don't expect a phone call from me.

Ouch!

"She's a baby, she doesn't know better. I know all about children."

Said George after Goldie dropped a horseshoe on my knee.

Nipples

"Hey mom, what are these?" George says lifting up his shirt and pointing to his nipples.
"Nipples." I reply
"They poke." He concludes.

He is a thoughful young man.
