Mother's Day Card

George made me the following card at school.
Auntie Donna read it today and thought it was so funny that Clay suggested I post it.

That is really cute. But why is God not spelled out? the way it's written, it's like it's a swear word or something. Please explain. I'm sure you have lots of time to do that now that you have 3 kids.

Very cute. They should ask him how old his mother is. My sister has 2 notes on her kitchen wall (1 from each of the twins) that say their mother is 10!

When Harry did that one he said that the one thing he'd change about me...that I should wear nail polish :-)

Good question Susie! For some (but not all) Jews, it's actually a sign of respect not to write God's name in full. The concern is that the word may be written on something that will later be thrown away or otherwise destroyed. For example, you might print out a copy of an article that mentions God, but later toss it in the trash along with old coffee grounds. I took this almost word for word from a website...
